Safety Tips

Please maintain a safe speed when in the development. Although, the posted speed limit is 15mph, many of our residents think this a bit slow and are in hurry to get home. Do you realize that if you maintain a speed of 15mph from the entrance gate to the furthest point in the development, you will reach your destination in about 90 seconds. Do you believe that shaving off a few seconds of time is that valuable to put at risk children and other pedestrians? We do not have sidewalks or street lights. Keep your speed down.

Pet Safety

One item of concern for residents in Carino Canyon is our close proximity to virgin desert.  We have various wild roaming critters here ... coyotes, bobcats, javelina ... and we also have large birds of prey ... owls, hawks and vultures.

All pets are in potential danger from coyotes and bobcats and smaller pet dogs and cats are in potential danger from birds of prey.  Several residents have had their pets attacked and killed by coyotes and a few have reported that their cats and small dogs have been victimized by birds of prey.

The best advice for keeping your pets safe ... keep them close to you and don't allow them to roam free ... especially in the evening hours.

CPR Scottsdale Fire Department offers free presentations on CPR.  They also have a nice suite of classes at very reasonable prices that include First Aid, Child and Babysitter Safety, and other classes.  Contact them at 480-212-2756.
