If you have one of the older (original) remote control transmitters, try to
change the battery. Otherwise, there is no fix. You will have to
purchase a new remote control transmitter. Click
here for more info on obtaining a new
remote transmitter.
If you have one of the newer remote control transmitters, it must be enabled
through the gate access control system. The new transmitters must be
manufactured by Linear Corporation and they must also be the block-coded, 318MHz
models. There is a 5-digit code on the back of these type of remotes.
You must notify the Gate Access Administrator to enable your new remote control
transmitter. Click here to send an email.

If you are listed in the directory at the entrance gate, when someone calls
your house you can open the gate remotely by pressing the number ' 9 ' on your
touchtone phone. Only the number 9. If you are not listed in the
directory, you should contact us. For more information, click
here.
If you wish to add or change an entry in the Carino Canyon
Entrance Gate Directory ... this would include a change to your personal gate
code ... send an email to the association.
New homeowners should ensure that their name and PIN code are included in the
Gate Directory so visitors will be able to dial your home directly and you will
be able to remotely open the entrance gate from your house. If you change
your home phone number, you will also need to update the directory.

Before you make any architectural change (including
painting your house) you should complete an
Architectural Change
Request Form. The Carino Canyon Architectural Committee will review
your request within 60 days. Normally less time.
When you intend to paint your house, you should review the
Approved Paint Palette. You still
need to complete an Architectural Change Request Form. When you use a
color from the approved palette, your request should be turned around in a few
days.

complete instructions.

As of August 2004, a total of 13 paint color packages have
been approved for use. Recently, 8 of the color packages were found to be
out of compliance with City of Scottsdale Light Reflectance Values. Each package corresponds to a single base color and
some packages offer a choice of accent colors. The color of your
roof tile limits your choice of approved packages. Roof
tiles were originally manufactured by
Monier Roof Tile. Click here to see images of the roof tile colors.
Full painting policies and other information is available at the
Painting page of this web site.

The
City of Scottsdale
picks up trash on Wednesday and Friday, unless a holiday falls on that day.
Then trash will be picked up on the following day (maybe). The trash truck
generally makes his melodious rounds in the morning, so put your trash out on
Tuesday and Thursday evenings. Remember, general trash (the black trash
bucket) is picked up on Wednesdays and recycled trash (the pink trash bucket) is
picked up on Fridays.
The City of Scottsdale maintains a schedule for brush
pick-up. Click Here for the
Brush and Bulk
Collection Schedule Map. Carino Canyon is in the Cholla St to
McDonald Dr service area.
Note: A complete listing of refuse and recycling guidelines is also
available at The City of Scottsdale web site. Click
