Snake Removal

We share our environment with snakes and they were here first.  So, let's not get out of  control.  Do not kill the snakes.  They will not hurt you if you leave them alone.  Attempting to kill them may place you or someone at risk.

• The Scottsdale Fire Department will remove the snakes for you.  See phone number, above.

• After calling, watch the snake's movement (don't get too close) so you don't lose him before Fire Department arrives.  As long as you stay a safe distance (at least 10 feet) the snake cannot strike you.

If you want to remove the snake yourself, you should make sure of a couple things ... first, identify the snake to determine if it is venomous.  Second, you should have the right tools to handle the snake. You can get snake handling tools at Midwest Tongs.
